Homosexuality: An Unatural Act

George A. Paul examines the truth behind homosexual arguments and assertion……….“We cannot help being homosexual.”  "It is intrinsic and genetically determined"   “God made us this way.”   "How can Christians, then, condemn a condition that God himself created?"

How can Christians, then, condemn a condition that God himself created?

Hence, they conclude, church and society should accept homosexuality as natural and normal. Moreover they maintain, it is unfair to criticize people for what they cannot help doing.

In 1991 Dr. Simon LeVay, a neuroscientist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego studying the brains of 41 cadavers, including 19 homosexual males found that "a tiny area believed to control sexual activity [the hypothalamus] was less than half the size in the gay men than in the heterosexuals."

However, there are a few questions that we need to raise:  "When did it get there? Was it prenatal, neonatal, during childhood, puberty?" "That we do not know." This erodes the credibility of the irrefutable claim.

Further when we analyze Doctor’s research, confounding as it proves, other problems with his findings include:

1.      All 19 of the homosexual men had died of AIDS, something that many researchers believe could very well account for or contribute to the differences;

2.      There was no way to know the sexual history of the "heterosexual" men;

3.   One cannot assert that smaller hypothalamuses were the cause or the result of homosexuality;

4.     The relationship of hypothalamuses and homosexuality is assumed but not proved.

5.  Dr. LeVay, a homosexual himself, admitted that his study was not entirely a dispassionate scientific endeavor.  

6.      One cannot determine any thing about the natural condition of homosexuality at birth by testing dead adult humans.

So the, so called "irrefutable evidence" that homosexuals are born gay does not hold water. In fact scientifically it is just a hypothesis and was never considered a theory as it is not proved. For more check the following link

Additionally, many diseases, for example, are genetically determined and are not considered as normal. We don’t consider “Tay-Sachs” or “Sickle-Cell Anemia” to be normal or desirable conditions, let alone to possess some ethical virtue.

Gay Brother Research Shows Homosexuality is Abnormal

Researchers at Brock University in St. Catharines Ontario published a study in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences entitled "Biological versus non-biological older brothers and men's sexual orientation."

Dr. John Shea, medical advisor to Campaign Life Coalition, explained to LifeSiteNews.com that the study explains the significance of its findings suggesting that "the immune response of the mother's body, damages the sexual differentiation of the brain of the male child in the womb, thus producing an abnormality in the fetus."

If correct the theories would thus show the opposite of the normalcy of homosexuality, which the mainstream media are attempting to posit with the coverage of the study.  "I was born abnormal, and therefore I'm normal is not good logic," concluded Dr. Shea.

"Homosexual" Animals Do Not Exist

In 1996, homosexual scientist Simon LeVay admitted that the evidence pointed to isolated acts, not to homosexuality:

Although homosexual behavior is very common in the animal world, it seems to be very uncommon that individual animals have a long-lasting predisposition to engage in such behavior to the exclusion of heterosexual activities. Thus, a homosexual orientation, if one can speak of such thing in animals, seems to be a rarity.

Despite the "homosexual" appearances of some animal behavior, this behavior does not stem from a "homosexual" instinct that is part of animal nature. Dr. Antonio Pardo, Professor of Bioethics at the University of Navarre, Spain, explains:

Properly speaking, homosexuality does not exist among animals…. For reasons of survival, the reproductive instinct among animals is always directed towards an individual of the opposite sex. Therefore, an animal can never be homosexual as such. Nevertheless, the interaction of other instincts (particularly dominance) can result in behavior that appears to be homosexual. Such behavior cannot be equated with an animal homosexuality. All it means is that animal sexual behavior encompasses aspects beyond that of reproduction.

From the above evidence we may conclude the following

1.    There is no "homosexual instinct" in animals,

2.    It is poor science to "read" human motivations and sentiments into animal behavior, and

3.    Irrational animal behavior is not a yardstick to determine what is morally acceptable behavior for rational man.

Homosexual orientation and behavior

No one is born to a homosexual, the fact that society is not sustained by homosexual practices and the existence of homosexual orientation and behavior would be impossible without healthy heterosexual relations, is proof enough that homosexual orientation and behavior is abnormal.

Homosexual orientation and behavior is like the naturally existing but abnormal Down syndrome, rather it is like cold and flu which are caused by the body’s response to the environmental conductions. What is more, all what is natural is neither normal nor moral. Had it been so, then, having a particular feeling would make such feelings morally right.

It would be like declaring, I feel like killing (orientation) therefore my natural feeling to kill is morally right. We all know this is not a valid argument; we must rather ask can such feeling be considered moral. Having a particular feeling, attitude, behavior etc does not make such feeling morally right, rather confirmation of such existing feeling, attitude, behavior to the standard makes it morally right and non-confirmation makes it morally wrong. In case of non-confirmation we must control and modify such feelings.

Freedom and will to change

We not only try to control the unchangeable genetic conduction but also control conductions like cold and fever and strive to bring normality. Such control is called rehabilitation

and treatment; it is abnormality and deviation that needs treatment and rehabilitation. We would not adapt and rehabilitate a person to Down syndrome nor we would make a healthy person sick, rather it is the person suffering from Down syndrome, Sickle cell disease, cold and flu who needs rehabilitation and treatment.

One suffering from such disease and deviant conditions is faced with a choice either to treat themselves or suffer. Furthermore they also have the ability and freedom to choose to better themselves. No one would argue, "I have suffered from common cold since my childhood therefore I can't help my self, hence I have to suffer from common cold"

Consequently homosexual assertion declaring, “Homosexuality is not abnormality but an alternate normality and it is like preferring milk to tea and arguing milk must not exist is futile and consuming milk is better then consuming tea.” Cannot be a valid argument, since homosexuality as being a natural good conduction is ruled out from the above evidence; consequently homosexuality cannot be like the good natural milk, rather it is spilt and toxic milk, since practicing homosexuality would eliminate the human race and consuming milk would not.
